School Observation Guidelines
Thank you for visiting Wellcome Middle School! We are pleased to have you on our campus. Prior to observing a class this form must be
completed and given to the school secretary twenty-four hours in advance for
administrative review. Also, all visitors must report to the main
office and meet with administration before entering a classroom.
As a visitor on our campus we ask that you honor the
guidelines that are listed below:
- Parking is available in the front of the school.
- Enter the school by the main front doors and report
to the main office.
- Sign in and receive a visitor’s badge from the office
staff.
- Wear the visitor’s badge while you are visiting.
- Cell phone use is prohibited throughout the
school. Please make absolutely sure
your cell phone is turned off.
- Personal business must be conducted off campus.
- Visitors will not be allowed beyond the main office
without administrative permission.
- Classroom visitors must follow the school dress code
guidelines for proper attire. This
is available at the main office or by visiting the Pitt County Schools
website and reviewing the Policy and Procedures.
- Visitors are not to interfere with school personnel
during the performance of their professional duties.
- School-age children or other siblings will not be
allowed to observe with you in a classroom.
- Observations will begin at the start of the period at
conclude at the end of the period.
Observers will not be allowed to enter after the bell has sounded.
- A copy of our Parent/Student Handbook and the PCS
Code of Conduct are available for your reference.
