Greetings from
the "Mighty Cougars" of G.R Whitfield
School!
The staff and
I are anticipating an exciting school year as we provide our
children opportunities to be actively engaged in the
learning process. We are a Reading First school and
will be focusing on the goals of fluency and reading
comprehension.
At
G.R.Whitfield, we believe that the welfare, growth, and
development of our children are a sacred trust. We
accept, regard, and appreciate each child as a unique
individual and we are committed to providing a strong
instructional program in a safe and orderly environment.
We are
committed to the concept that "the student is the most
important person in the school". Our dedicated staff
and teachers work to provide high quality education for all
our learners. We are pleased to be one of the five schools
in our district that made "HIGH GROWTH" and reached 100%
of its AYP goals for 2007-2008.
We look
forward to growing and strengthening the partnerships
between the community and our school. Join us as we unite to
