Art Club
Battle of
the Books (BOB)
This club is for middle school
students who love to read. They meet twice a week during
lunch to discuss and quiz one another from the required reading list. In the Spring, they
will compete against other middle school teams. For more
information about this club, click
here.
Elementary BOB
This club is for 4th and
5th graders who love to read. It works just like the middle
school club with a different set of books.
Beta Club
Ladies and Gentleman's Club
The goal of Young Gentlemen’s and Ladies Club is to focus on
academics, behavior in/out of the classroom and preparing
the young men and women for High School. Some things we will
be checking on will be their grades, discipline reports;
test scores (EOG) and teacher recommendations or
conferences. Some objectives for this club is to become a
team and work to accomplish goals like, adopting a family or
highway, community service and taking educational trips to
different places.
S.A.V.E.
S.A.V.E. is a
group of students who are committed to promoting
non-violence in the school and the G.R. Whitfield
community. As a student-led group (with adult
sponsors), S.A.V.E. educates Whitfield School and the
community about the effects and consequences of
violence, and suggest reasonable alternatives through a
variety of activities. We are a part of the North
Carolina S.A.V.E. organization. This year SAVE
activities will include holding
Fundraisers, presenting non-violence skits to younger
students, and participating in some Community
involvement activities.
