Teachers and Staff

The staff of Third Street Pre-K Center is highly qualified, friendly, and meets No Child Left Behind standards. The teachers are all Birth-Kindergarten certified teachers. This means that they are certified to teach typical and atypical children ages birth to kindergarten. Although, this center only serves 3-5 year olds, some students served here are developmentally functioning at a lower level. All assistant teachers must have two years of college credits or have shown in other ways that their expertise is in the range of someone with that level of education. Many of the assistant teachers here have four year degrees from universities.

 

Third Street Pre-K Center has a school nurse who visits one day per week and a social worker who is on call to help with family needs.

 

The Lunch Room is usually open during the summer months to provide breakfast and lunch for children in the area each day. No application is necessary; those who walk in are served during the summer months.
