SGE Student Lemonade and Treats Stand
Four first graders from South Greenville Elementary came up with the idea to
have a Lemonade and Treats Stand to make money for their school. For weeks,
these girls made posters, fliers and lists of all the treats to be made. We
hung the posters around the school and the neighborhood. They gave fliers to
family, friends and neighbors. They sold pink lemonade, cookies, brownies,
lollipops, popsicles and rice krispy treats. The event was held on Wednesday,
September 30 from 3:30-5:30. They raised $605.00. All proceeds are being used to
provide school uniforms for those in need. The students learned the importance
of giving back to their school and community.

Greenville Kiwanis
Donates Dictionaries
South Greenville Elementary School is so fortunate to have the support of the
Greenville Kiwanis. On October 31, this great civic organization donated
dictionaries for the entire 3rd grade class. Teachers use these dictionaries
throughout the year with their students in the classroom and at the end of the
year the children take these dictionaries home to continue using the skills they
have learned. This is an invaluable resource for our students and everyone at
South Greenville Elementary is appreciative of all the Kiwanis does for the
staff and our students.
