· The September Senior Newsletter is available in Student Services. This newsletter has information about important upcoming dates and scholarship opportunities.
· Homecoming at FCHS is Friday, October 5th. Preparation for the festivities will begin today. Nominations for homecoming court will be taken during all lunches. Students will be able to nominate two young ladies from their own class to go on the Homecoming Princess ballot. Voting will occur during all lunches. You must bring your planner to lunch to participate.
· NOVEMBER 1st will be Senior picture make-up day.
· MDA Muscle Walk: Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Town Common in Greenville, NC 9:00 am-12:00.
· Applications are being accepted for the Visions Career Development & Scholarship Program from current juniors who presently:
o Have a 2.0-3.0 GPA
o Do not have a definite career choice for after high school
o Plan to attend Pitt Community College
o Do not have discipline problems
o Have a financial need
The program is designed to mentor students through their senior year, to expose them to career options, and to provide a scholarship to Pitt Community College. Please see Mrs. Jones in the Media Center for an Application.
· Students & Teachers- cold weather is approaching. Order school approved Fleeces, Sweatshirts and Polos with or without the Jaguar logo. These items may be worn in school. Order forms are located outside the bookkeeper’s office on the bookshelf. Turn the completed form in to Ms. Robinson to order.
· Yearbooks are on sale now for $40.00, the first 35 have been sold! Only the next 40 will be on sale for $40.00 there are 37 left at the price of $40.00.
· Young ladies interested in playing basketball will have a meeting on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 after school in room 501.
· Jags House Spirit Shirts can be ordered. These spirit shirts can be worn on any home Friday football/ basketball game. Cost is $10.00 see Coach Williford.
· Open Gym for all young men interested in basketball on Tuesday, September 25th, 3:45pm- 5:00 pm.
· Any young lady interested in playing Girls basketball should meet in the student commons tomorrow Tuesday, September 25th, at 3:45p.m.
· Oct. 15- Class Ring Meeting for Juniors in cafeteria 10:00 am-10:30am
· Oct. 22- Senior Class Meeting for Graduation Supplies in cafeteria
10:00am-10:30am
· Oct 22-Juniors order Class Ring during all lunches
· Oct. 29- Seniors order Graduation Supplies during all lunches
