“The mission and purpose of
the PTA is to encourage parent and public involvement in the schools, to
promote the welfare of children and to bring a closer relation to home and
school for the education of children.
Please show your
support by joining the A.G. Cox Middle School PTA. The number one reason to
join the PTA is to benefit your child.
In doing so, you also help your child’s school. There’s no better way to
know what’s happening in your child’s school.
When parents are
involved, students perform better in school.
By becoming a PTA
member, you’ll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on
education. It’s not the amount of time
you can contribute that’s most important, but rather your commitment to help
PTA make a difference in the lives of children.
PTA appreciates everyone’s membership, whether or not the member
volunteers, because each member increases PTA’s ability to advocate for
children.
Attached
is a PTA Membership form that you can return, along with your fee, to your
child’s teacher. Our membership fee is $5.00
per individual, $3.50 of which goes to the State and National PTAs to pay
for handbooks, resource materials and programs they sponsor. The remaining
portion will remain at our school.
