Meet Our Principal |

Dr. Teresa Byrum Teresa Byrum holds a Doctor of Education Degree from East Carolina University where she also earned a Master’s Degree in Music Education and a Master’s Degree in School Administration. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Campbell University. Dr. Byrum's background in education ranges from serving as both teacher and administrator. For the past five years, she has served as the Director of Licensed Personnel for Pitt County Schools. Prior to that, she worked in Northampton County Schools as an assistant principal at Rich Square-Creecy Elementary School and as a principal at Willis Hare Elementary School. Her classroom experience includes serving as an elementary school music teacher in Halifax County Schools for over nine years. Dr. Byrum joined the Ayden Elementary family as our principal July 1, 2009. Please help us welcome her to AES.
